Now, that would be an unpleasant salad dressing.
One influencer almost had a major accident while filming a routine cooking video. In a TikTok video shared on Wednesday, December 11, Meredith Hayden — who goes by the name @WishboneKitchen on the social media platform — describes how she nearly cut off the tip of her finger while making what she calls her “Christmas confetti salad.”
“This is the salad that almost made me lose my finger,” Hayden says at the beginning of the clip, carrying a bowl of salad in one hand and raising her other hand to the camera to show off her wrapped finger.
“Despite this traumatic accident, I still eat it every day for four days straight,” the meal influencer continues.
The salad, which Hayden says is perfect for “all winter,” features radicchio, shredded Brussels sprouts, fried cranberries, Marcona almonds, roasted chicken and goat cheese, and is dressed with an apple cider vinaigrette and a splash of balsamic vinegar.
The injury was probably caused by Hayden thinly slicing various salad ingredients into pieces to look like pieces of confetti.
“Cheers for having all 10 of my fingers!” he jokes at the end of the clip before taking a big bite of his creation.

Hayden spoke to PEOPLE in 2022 about her culinary journey and the family member who inspired her the most.
“The inspiration for me to start cooking has always been my mom. She was a fantastic cook growing up. And once a week she would make us a roast chicken for dinner, and she would always save the iron bone when she cut the chicken,” Hayden said.
“And after dinner, we’d do a thing where you pull the wish bone in half, and whoever gets the bigger half gets to make a wish. I have really fond memories of being in the kitchen with my mom,” she continued.
As for how she chooses her recipes, Hayden told PEOPLE, “I usually choose recipes that are fresh and easy to make, but not too simple.”
