Lohan tells PEOPLE couples like to ‘chat and hang out’
Not only have Lindsay Lohan and Ayesha Curry become best friends, but their husbands have become closer as well.
In the new issue of PEOPLE magazine, Lohan (37) and Curry (34) talk about their double dates with spouses Bader Shammas (37), a financier, and Golden State Warriors player Steph Curry (36).
“I love cards. We play rummy,” says Curry, who is expecting her fourth child this year, joining children Riley, 11, Ryan, 8, and Canon, 5.
Lohan, who welcomed her son Luai with Shammas last year, adds: “Feasts, cooking, movies.” Then you can talk and hang out.”

Lohan and Shammas split their time between Dubai and the United States, so Mean girls star and Curry FaceTime “a lot,” according to Lohan. “But now I’m in the US more, so we’ll see each other more often.”

They got to spend a lot of time together while filming their new Netflix rom-com Irish wish on location in Ireland. It didn’t “feel like work,” says Lohan, “and that’s really rare.”
Not only did Curry star, but so did Lohan’s younger brother Dakota, 27. Shammas also executive produced the film. “It was really great just being with everyone,” adds Lohan.
The two couples managed to squeeze in a few nights out on the Emerald Isle — until they had to film at the crack of dawn.
“We did it a few times,” Lohan about the double dates. “Whenever we didn’t have very early calls, because we had some really early call times for this, like 4:30 pickup.”

In the film, Lohan plays Maddie, a book editor from New York who is secretly in love with her fellow writer Paul (Alexander Vlahos). However, he falls in love with Maddie’s friend Emma (Elizabeth Tan) and they become engaged after a whirlwind courtship.
At a destination wedding in Ireland, Maddie makes a wish that changes their fates – with a comical outcome. Curry, who plays bridesmaid Heather, says it’s the kind of movie where “you can get lost for 90 minutes and have a good laugh.”
The two couples became so close that when Lohan welcomed Luai last year, she and Shammas asked them to be their boy’s godparents.
