Ione Skye's Memoir Looks Back With 'Clarity and Compassion' (Exclusive)

Ione Skye has something to say.

The Say anything the actress is publishing a memoir, aptly titled Tell All: A Memoirwhich will affect her life in Hollywood.

In the upcoming book, Skye, 53, “reveals and reflects on her messy, glamorous and relentlessly unconventional life,” according to a press release.

“Daughter of a magnetic ’60s It Girl and legendary folk singer Donovan,” the statement continued, “Skye spent her life seeking the approval of her absent father and seeking warmth through infatuations and affairs with some of film’s brightest stars, indie darlings. and musicians of that time.”

The memoir promises to be a “vulnerable and cinematic portrayal” of Skye learning to accept herself, reconcile with her father and celebrate her life.

“As an actress, thinking about my life as a drama has helped me keep the painful parts at bay,” Ione Skye said in a press release.

Skye made her film debut with River’s Edge 1986, starring alongside Keanu Reeves. She is perhaps best known for her role as John Cusack’s love interest Say anythingafter which her memoirs are named.

She has appeared in many television shows and films throughout her career, including Zodiac, Wayne’s World, Fever, Arrested development, Camping, Good girls and Beef.

In addition to acting, Skye has been painting and exhibiting her work for over 25 years. She is the co-host of the weekly podcast Weird Together with her Australian singer-songwriter husband Ben Lee.

She previously wrote a story for children My Yiddish vacation in 2014.

Skye, who is a mother of two daughters, married Lee in 2009. They now live in Los Angeles.
