Parenthood

Parenthood is an American family comedy-drama television series developed by Jason Katims, and produced by Imagine Television and Universal Television for NBC. The show revolves around the Braverman clan, including an older couple, their four children, and their respective families. Loosely based on the 1989 film of the same name, the series is the second adaptation of the movie to air on television, following the 1990–91 TV series on NBC.

Jason Katims’ idea of creating a modern adaptation of the film was inspired by the success of Friday Night Lights. The show aired for six seasons from March 2, 2010, to January 29, 2015. Although well-received by critics and won numerous awards, Parenthood faced challenges with its viewership throughout its run. The sixth and final season, comprising 13 episodes, premiered on September 25, 2014, with the series finale airing on January 29, 2015.
