Throughout much of “The Big Bang Theory,” Penny Hofstadter (Kaley Cuoco) is trying to establish herself as a professional actress while spending most of her time working as a waitress at the Cheesecake Factory. During her waitressing career, her group of intellectual friends, including Dr. Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons), Dr. Leonard Hofstadter (Johnny Galecki), Dr. Rajesh “Raj” Koothrappali (Kunal Nayyar), Howard Wolowitz (Simon Helberg), and Dr. Amy Farrah Fowler (Mayim Bialik), visit her and order a meal. In a behind-the-scenes video, Kunal Nayyar and Simon Helberg mentioned that their characters are regular customers of the Cheesecake Factory. Nayyar sees that real food is placed in front of them during moments at the chain restaurant. However, he noted that he and his actors usually didn’t eat the dishes during filming.
“The food was obviously real, but we didn’t really have time to eat it at the scene, unless it was really good,” Nayyar said.

Bialik said: “Scott was asked to do some very unusual things, especially given his cooking skills, a lot of his props involved cooking.
Melissa Rauch, the character of Dr Bernadette Rostenkowski-Wolowitz, a brief employee of the Cheesecake Factory, praised London’s culinary prowess. “Scott has a background as a chef, so what we ate was delicious and he really tailored the food for each of us,” says Rauch.
The show’s executive producer, Steven Molaro, also said that the writers of “The Big Bang Theory” used London’s chef talent to their advantage. He explained that the characters should eat certain foods that the cast and crew want to enjoy, such as mint crackers. “The script would say ‘Bernadette is baking a mint cookie’ because we knew Scott was going to make it and then we would be able to eat it. And he was so good and the cast loved it,” Molaro said. .
In the video Warner Bros. Entertainment, London shared that the accident happened while he was remaking ramen for Johnny Galecki’s character Leonardo. He said he added too much spice to the experimental physicist’s soup, giving Galecki an unpleasant experience. “Johnny had his Top Ramen, but it was a special sauce that I made with vegetable broth and added some Sriracha to it. And I remember one time I went crazy with hot sauce and he started convulsing on set during a shoot,” the prop laughed.
