It may only be July, but the excitement of Strictly Come Dancing is growing as rumors circulate that many interesting names will be taking part in this year’s competition.
And now, the latest star tipped to join the cast in 2023 is TV series star Ellie Leach. According to a report in the Mirror, the actress, who is perhaps best known for her role in Opening the streetBosses have signed up for the hit series and can’t wait to show their dance moves on the dance floor seriously.

It’s also been reported that the 22-year-old recently broke up with her boyfriend of five years, meaning that taking on the three-month project could be a welcome distraction for the TV star. Ellie is yet to comment on the news, but HELLO! approached the BBC for comment.

Angela, who has appeared regularly on screen for more than 50 years, hosted the original show Serious – the so-called broadcast Come to the dance lasted from 1988 to 1991 before returning briefly in 1998 – meaning her signing up for the show would have been a great panoramic moment.

There is no official confirmation from the BBC or the Serious team on which celebrities will be joining this year, but judging from previous years, the lineup is usually sent to fans weekly from August onwards. with Serious’s mid-September launch and official late-September start date.

The experts confirmed to participate in 2023 are: Dianne Buswell, Nadiya Bychkova, Graziano Di Prima, Karen Hauer, Katya Jones, Neil Jones, Nikita Kuzmin, Gorka Marquez, Luba Mushtuk, Giovanni Pernice, Jowita Przystal and Johannes Radebe.

Other experts participating include Kai Widdrington, Nancy Xu, Carlos Gu, Lauren Oakley, Michelle Tsiakkas and Vito Coppola. However, Amy Dowden’s participation in the show still aired after her breast cancer diagnosis – something she bravely shared with HELLO! in an exclusive interview – but the dancer remains determined to return to the ring if treatment allows her to do so.
