Ish Amitoj Kaur is an Indian children’s author and filmmaker. She is known for the films Chhevan Dariya (2010) and Kambdi Kalaai (2006). She is known for her original drama therapy approach, which she developed while leading children’s drama workshops.

Ish Amitoj was born in Shimla and she was educated at Loreto Monastery in Tara Hall, Shimla. She did her graduation from St. Bede’s College, Shimla. After graduation, she completed a Masters in Drama at Punjab University, Chandigarh. Later, she joined the Repertory Theater Troupe of the National Academy of Drama and participated in many works. She went on to become a Fellow of the National Academy of Drama, and then enrolled in Stanford University’s Creative Writing Program.
