- In 2018, he appeared in a Pakistani television commercial directed by Bollywood actor Imtiaz Ali. In an interview, he shared the idea behind the ad, saying,
I have never heard of this concept where a guy goes out of his way to impress a girl’s family who come to him to propose marriage.My character can’t be called feminine just because he’s the one cooking [instead of the girl]. He just wasn’t institutionalized, and today, men don’t need to follow a traditional list of dos and don’ts. “I can relate to this character. He was motivated to step out of his comfort zone and start cooking because of his passion. Today, many men and women would go the extra mile for this.”

I’m an architect but I feel like I’m really missing something. Acting has always been something that interested me. A theater group in Delhi called Asmita Theater matched my sensibilities and I took the plunge. It was a good decision because acting is my true calling. I’m glad my parents supported my decision. But theater gave me the confidence and skills that paved the way into films. “I did a play that Mahesh Bhatt was producing, and one day he came to me and said I was great. I was so happy to hear him say that. I didn’t know what to say, I just blushed.”
