ISIS bride Shamima Begum’s final bid to get UK citizenship back REFUSED as she fails to ‘raise arguable point of view’ – The Sun

Three judges of the Supreme Court ruled that “the grounds for appeal do not raise a disputed point of law.”

Begum was found in a Syrian refugee camp after traveling to the country as a 15-year-old in 2015 to join the Isis terror group.

Last year, Begum lost her appeal against the decision to revoke her citizenship for reasons of national security.

Today, judges at Britain’s highest court said Begum could not appeal again after she lost at the Court of Appeal in February.

In their decision, Lords Reed, Hodge and Lloyd-Jones denied Begum the green light to go to the Supreme Court.

They said her proposed grounds of appeal “do not raise an arguable question of law.”

Three judges stated that there is no challenge to the decision of the Court of Appeal.

Begum’s lawyers argued that she should have been able to lodge a complaint with the interior minister before her citizenship was revoked.

But Chief Justice Baroness Carr dismissed Begum’s appeal to the Court of Appeal in February.

Baroness Carr said: “It could be argued that the decision in Ms Begum’s case was harsh.

“It could also be argued that Mrs. Begum is herself to blame for her misfortune.

“But it is not for this court to agree or disagree with any point of view.

“The only task of the court was to assess whether the confiscation decision was illegal.

“Since it is not, Mrs Begum’s appeal is dismissed.”

In March, appeals court judges rejected Ms Begum’s initial request to take her case to the Supreme Court.
