KYLE Walker told The Sun today that his family is “all I have” — and that he let them down.
The England and Manchester City defender has admitted he was selfish not to tell his pregnant wife about his second secret child – and says: “It was a slow death for me and Annie.”

Annie’s world came crashing down just after Christmas when she received a devastating Instagram message out of the blue from Lauryn Goodman, telling her that Kyle had fathered another child with her.
He publicly admits for the first time: “I’m sorry for having a second child with Lauryn and hurting my best friend.
“It’s horrible to say that out loud.
“I hurt someone who I truly believe is my soul mate.
“It’s hard not to have her.
“She is my right hand.
“I think so highly of her that she probably won’t understand and I probably don’t really tell her.
“This is not an interview for me to tell the world how much I care about her because it depends on me and Annie and how we feel.
“Annie knows I’m sorry.
“I’m sorry because as a family this was not meant to happen.
“They are all I have.
“I’m not asking for pity.
“I failed Annie and my boys, I failed my mom and dad, my grandmother.”
Lauryn (32) welcomed their second child – a girl – conceived during a brief relationship in London last year.
Annie then became pregnant with their fourth child just weeks later and is due to give birth in March.
Kyle said: “It hurts me to think (how she copes when she’s pregnant).
“I’ve never been there.
“Not being there when you need me the most, but knowing that you caused that pain, that’s something I have to live with now.”
Lauryn told Annie she deserved to know the truth and provided DNA results and legal letters that confirmed her worst fears.

In a major admission, Kyle says he lived a lie for 14 months, even after Annie, 30, became pregnant for the fourth time.
Despite everything, he is desperate to save the marriage, but accepts that this could be the final nail in the coffin.
He said he wouldn’t blame Annie if she decided to divorce him – and promised to become a better role model.
He said: “I think there is too much pain and too much hurt.
“For now, I just need to be the best dad I can be.”
In contrast, about Lauryn added, “It didn’t matter.
“That’s something Lauryn could never honestly say.
“We never went out for food.
“We have never been to the cinema.
“I admit that Lauryn has been a friend for a long time.
“I probably met her when I was 20, 21 years old.
“We have our episode in 2020.
“I’m 33 now, that’s a good nine years before something like that happened.
“There was nothing after that.
“Having a relationship with someone… would she even know how much sugar I have in my coffee, if I have sugar?
“She couldn’t tell you.
Move to Bayern to escape relegation
KYLE told last night how he almost followed Harry Kane to Bayern Munich to avoid a looming baby scandal.
The defender verbally agreed a £15m move to the German champions in July.
He said: “I tried to escape. Did I want to leave City? No, of course not. We are the best team in the world at the moment.
“But it was a chance to get away from England and the media I was going to get.
“I was aware that the clock was ticking. I was very close to moving. We had conversations. I went to a big club, a big club. But in the end I couldn’t leave.
“If I’m in Germany and this happens, Annie leaves and now I’m alone in Germany.
“My children would not be around the corner where I can see them.
“There’s pain and emotion right now, but I can go home, take my kids to school and my little boy to soccer.”
“Lauryn had me trapped in a corner since October when she told me about the second child.
“She’d ask me to jump and I’d say, ‘How high?’. It was to meet increasing and unreasonable demands in return for not destroying my family.”
Kyle admits he should have told his wife the truth when Lauryn got pregnant again.
But he knew it would almost certainly end their marriage – and force him to leave the family home.
He said: “It was selfish. I didn’t tell her because I wanted to be with her and the children. Did she need to hear that from Lauryn? No no.
“It was the least I owed her. I was aware that the clock was ticking and still decided not to tell Annie.”

But in a stunning admission, the World Cup star said: “I regret and I don’t.
“I’m sorry I didn’t tell her because she had a right to know and that’s the least I owe my best friend.
“I don’t regret selfishly because I had to spend my days with my children.
“I had to take the kids to the World Cup – they were there.
“I won the treble with City.
“Seeing my children’s faces when we won the Champions League is something I will never forget.
“Although I deeply regret not telling Annie, I have to experience it as a family.
It was a double-edged sword between a clear conscience and the loss of family.
Bek hopes “unrealistically” that Annie will give him another chance, but he accepts the misery he caused her.
She plays with her wedding ring as she thinks, “Would people think she’s mad to take me back? A million percent.”
Below the wedding ring is a tattoo of the letter “A” for Annie.
And she’s got a “K” for Kyle stamped on her finger – but ditched the ring.
Kyle adds: “People are entitled to their opinion, but they don’t know what goes on behind closed doors.
“We are not perfect.
“Everyone goes through ups and downs in life.
“But I wouldn’t blame her if she divorced me.
“I would understand if she reached a point where enough was enough.
“I have to respect her decision.
“I wouldn’t be mad or shocked if he did.
“The ball is firmly in her court on what she decides to do with the future.
“As far as I’m concerned, again, I can keep saying I’m sorry, but an apology won’t change anything.
“All I can do is build a better future with or without Annie.”
After Kyle had his first child with Lauryn, Annie described his betrayal as “obscene.”
But she took him back and they married in late 2021 at the lavish Mottram Hall in Wilmslow, Cheshire.

But their marriage could not escape the shadow of his infidelity.
Wiping tears from his eyes, Kyle admits, “I lost a part of her.
“Until about three months ago, she never told me she loved me.
“She refused to tell me she loved me.
“She said when she felt she could tell me again, then she would. And then all this happened.”
Kyle called Annie a “fantastic mum”, adding: “She let me ring her on the phone recently, which was really helpful.
“It just shows the mom how she is with the kids.
“She doesn’t want to take it away.
“They always wished me luck before games and they did before the FA Cup win against Tottenham.
“Small things like that show the character she has as a mother.
“Whatever happens, the girl, the woman, my wife, she will be my best friend until I die.
“I will fully respect her decision.
“I cannot change the past.
“I hope I can change the future.
“Is that a reset button?
“The reset button should have been pressed the first time.”

GRATEFUL Kyle thanked his Man City manager Pep Guardiola and England’s Gareth Southgate for standing by him last night.
Kyle called the Spaniard “amazing”. He said: “He didn’t know what was going on.
“I didn’t want to tell him because I didn’t want him to think that I wasn’t mentally there.
“I cannot thank him enough for the understanding and faith he has shown in me over four years.”
Pep, 53, made Kyle captain despite objections from some fans. And the pair embraced on the pitch last Friday after the 1-0 win against Spurs in the FA Cup.
Kyle was visibly emotional and repeatedly punched the air.
He said Southgate – who made him England captain against North Macedonia last year – sent a text message of support after his latest sex scandal.
He declined to divulge details, but said: “For your national team coach to lend a hand in a time of need, that’s beyond football.”
