Following Phillip Schofield’s dramatic departure from This Morning, it looks like ITV has finally made a decision on his replacement. According to a report published by Mail Online, the broadcaster will not hire a new co-host to take Phillip’s place this year.

Instead, it was announced that Holly Willoughby would take on the role of This Morning’s sole star, with a list of presenters including Alison Hammond, Josie Gibson, Dermot O’Leary and Craig O’Doyle sometimes joining her on the sofa.
Holly is currently enjoying a school break with her three children – Harry, Belle and Chester – but when she returns from an extended break, the 42-year-old is expected to get a big pay rise.

According to Mirror, Holly will get more money when she adapts to the lead role This morning. This means he will earn significantly more than his current salary of £700,000.
However, Holly herself has yet to confirm the news, HELLO! approached ITV for comment.

During her extended vacation, Holly decided to make the most of her free time. After a tumultuous 12 months in which the presenter detailed her strained friendship with former co-host Phillip Schofield, Holly also confirmed the sad news of her mother-in-law’s death.
Holly is married to TV producer Dan Baldwin and is particularly close to his late mother Sandra.
Keeping fans updated on her situation, Holly recently posted the latest edition of her Wylde Moon newsletter, revealing that she is now “determined” to make the most of her summer break.

“After a really quiet weekend, without any of the usual hustle and bustle, today I feel incredibly feminine… a vibe that I’ve decided to keep for as long as possible!” she writes.
Thanking fans for their support, the 42-year-old added: “One of the things I enjoy doing whenever I have some free time is reading the messages you guys have kindly taken the time to send to the team and me at WYLDE MOON.
