Saira Khan, 53, was best known for her role as a regular on daytime debate show Loose Women.
The former Apprentice contestant starred in the chat-focused show from 2015 to 2020.
But now, the former Big Brother celebrity has returned to mainstream television on Channel 5’s popular daytime show Jeremy Vine.
Truth be told, she was invited onto the show as a panelist during the program’s run to go head-to-head with an opposing panelist who received much praise.
Speaking to The Sun, Saira explained: “After taking a break from television for a few years, it was nice to be back and I didn’t realize how much I missed it.
“It was Jeremy [Vine] who persuaded me to return.”
She added: “I think it’s good to have a break and now I feel more confident in who I am and who I want to say.”
Saira posted a screenshot of the show on her Instagram page along with a lengthy caption, stating how good it feels to be back on the small screen.
She wrote: “So after a few years off TV it was nice to be back – @thejeremyvine talked me into doing it and I’m not going to lie… I really enjoyed it.
“So thank you @jeremyvineon5 @thejeremyvine @owenjones84 for making my first day fun.

“Thank you to the @jeremyvineon5 team who put the show together – everything was so lovely and I felt so looked after.”
She added: “It was good to chat a bit and let off some steam!”
It was also evident that the star met familiar faces off the screen again.
The Channel 5 debate show’s production team also has former Loose Women producer Katie Storry in a senior role.
Saira originally broke the news of her departure from Loose Women in early 2021 in her column for The Mirror.
She later revealed why she left the show, when she said she wanted to have more fun on the show, but implied bosses wanted Stacey Solomon to fill the role
The TV star told Closer magazine: “You saw on Loose Women that I’m quite passionate, fiery and combative, but that’s the silo they’ve put me in.
“I wanted to have some fun, but it wasn’t for me, it was for Stacey Solomon.
“Stacey was fun, but I had to be the loud, funny one.”
Her decision comes shortly after Andrea McLean burst into tears when she announced her own departure from the show in November 2020.
