In a heartfelt post, Ferne – who stars in the series with her children Sunday and Finty, as well as fiancee Lorri Haines – told fans: “After an incredible 13 series I’ve made the very difficult decision that this @fernemyfamandme series will be my last.”

She continued: “Where do I start? First by saying a big, big thank you to each and every one of you who have watched my show and been on our family journey with us.

“This show has been such an amazing part of my life for the past seven years and what a ride it has been filming from being pregnant with Sunday to now. Your support and devotion to me and my family has lifted me more at times than you will ever know.

The reason she quit

Ferne then explained why she stepped down, stating that her children were growing up and she wanted it off camera.

She said: “This decision has not been easy, but I feel like now is the right time for a change. I made this decision with my children in mind (especially Sunday who has been on this full journey with me).

“They are my absolute priority and Sunday is now at an age where she is her own little person and I want her to go out there and make her own way.”

Ferne thanked the production company as well as ITV.

“@potatoitv and the @itvxofficial@itv team are amazing and have become part of the family over the years so thank you so much for this wonderful opportunity. I can’t get over how amazing this has been and I will cherish these memories and moments I was lucky enough to be captured forever.”

She concluded the post: “New chapters await. Please enjoy series 13: it’s my biggest and favorite yet. Out this Wednesday on ITVBE at 9pm and ITV.”

Ferne’s husband-to-be Lorri said at the time: “Awww, it’s definitely been a fun few years! I’ve enjoyed filming with you and everyone involved. I’m so proud of you for making this decision for yourself, your family, and especially kids.So many bigger things on the horizon that are very exciting.

Next steps

The news also comes after The Sun exclusively revealed that Ferne has signed up for the next series of Dancing On Ice.

It is her first prime-time ITV1 series since the leak of audio recording of her attacking the victims of her former attacker, Arthur Collins, with acid.

Ferne apologized for her comments in 2022, which she said were “manipulated, edited and taken completely out of context”.

ITV then backed her and continued to show her series First Time Mum.

A source said: “It’s been a tough few years for Ferne but she’s always been an ITV star, with roots on Towie and then her first steps into the mainstream on I’m A Celebrity in 2015.

“So Dancing on Ice will be an opportunity for her to settle down, work hard and win over the public.”
