Ja Rule's 3 Kids: All About Brittney, Jeffrey and Jordan

Ja Rule and his family are no strangers to the spotlight.

The rapper and actor has three children with his wife Aisha Atkins, who is 23 years his junior: Brittney, Jeffrey Jr. and Jordan. Some family members, including Brittney and Jeffrey Jr., appeared on WE tv Growing up hip: Hop New York 2019 Ahead of the show, which aired in the fall of 2019, the “Mesmerize” hitmaker sat down with PEOPLE Now and talked about his life as a parent.

“I want my kids to run to me, not away from me,” he said, explaining that “nothing is set” when it comes to difficult conversations. “And I tell them all the time, there are three people in the world you can’t lie to… your doctor, your lawyer and me, good old dad.”

He continued, “Because I’m the one who’s going to get you out of it, whatever it is. I have your best interests at heart.”

In 2015, he told Wetpaint that his kids can get too personal — but it’s for the best.

“Sometimes they get a bit of criticism, they tell us too much, but I prefer that [not telling their parents anything.]”

Speaking about what fans will see from the series, Ja Rule explained to PEOPLE Now to give him a chance to show his other side. “You know, I don’t think people see, you know, the other side of me; there will also be a dad, a husband, and those things. They don’t see that side… I’m really a very cool, laid-back, reserved guy, no drama.”

Ja Rule’s first child, Brittney, was born on September 22, 1995.

While appearing on Growing Up in Hip Hop: New YorkBrittney explained that people used her to try to get closer to her famous father.

“You just have to pay attention to people’s traits,” she explained Access to Hollywood when asked how he fights it.

Jeffrey Atkins Jr. he was born in 2000.

Like his older sister, Jeffrey appeared in Growing Up in Hip Hop: New York. “I want to share my story because I think it’s cool and I guess it’s unique,” he explained in a promotional clip for the 2019 series.

Following in his father’s footsteps, Jeffrey Jr. he is also a musician. He makes music under the stage name SINNERSDEDX, and his Instagram profile is dedicated to his craft.

He has amassed over 44,000 followers on Instagram as of August 2024 and has so far released an album titled The world ends with sin 2022 and several singles throughout 2021 and 2022, according to Spotify.

Jeffrey Jr. he is also similar in appearance to his father. On December 10, 2022, Aisha posted a photo of her husband and son standing next to each other on Instagram, captioned “#mytwins” with two heart emojis.

Fans were quick to notice the striking similarities between the two. “Direct copy and paste 😂🔥🔥,” one person commented, while another wrote, “Wow. He stole your entire face, Ja.”

Ja Rule and Aisha welcomed their third child, Jordan, on April 6, 2003.

Jordan often posts comedy skits on his TikTok account, @mealyworld. One clip, which had more than 71,000 views, mocked watching HBO Euphoria alone compared to when someone else walks into the room.

Although he did not appear on Growing up in hip hop: New York, the youngest of the Atkins children attended public events with her family, including the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards with her parents and siblings on August 28, 2018. The family of five suited up in stylish black outfits.

To celebrate Jordan’s birthday in 2023, proud mama Aisha shared a carousel of photos on her Instagram profile.

“Happy birthday to my youngest son @mxv_jordy187 I can’t believe you’re 20 today. I am so proud of the young man you have become,” she wrote in the description. “Even though they consider you an adult, you will always be my boy and I love you with all my heart!”

When he turned 21 in 2024, his mother shared a similar sentiment in celebrating his milestone.

Happy birthday to my youngest son, I can’t believe you are 21 today. I love you so much and I hope you enjoy your birthday! 😘😘🎊🎉,” Aisha wrote on Instagram.

Jordan often shares photos with his girlfriend Alexia Chanel. On his 21st birthday, he posted a series of photos of him and Alexia hugging.
