Jagrup Singh Rupa

Jagroop Singh, alias Roopa (1992-2022), was an Indian historian and close aide of imprisoned Indian gangster Lawrence Bishnoi . Jagrup is suspected to be one of the eight sharpshooters involved in the murder of Sidhu Muthewala. He was killed on July 20, 2022, in a clash with Amritsar police in Bachnakaran village in Amritsar.

Jagroop Singh was born in 1992 (30 years old; as of 2022) in Jaura village in Patti area of ​​Tarn Taran district in the state of Punjab. While in school, Rupa was influenced by bad friends and started taking drugs. Soon he left his studies and worked briefly at a motorcycle agency. Highly addicted to drugs, Jagrup began selling household items to buy drugs. When his family learned about his drug addiction, they helped him overcome his addiction. However, Jagrup didn’t stop and started forcing his mother to pay for his drugs. He often snatched money from his mother and when she denied it, he often beat her and pulled her hair. Soon, he began committing crimes such as robbery and fraud. His family became unhappy with his growing criminal activities and kicked him out of their home in 2017.

As a teenager, Roopa was involved in criminal activities such as robbery and fraud. When his parents kicked him out of their home, he left the village and vowed never to return. His vehicle was reportedly intercepted by a white Bolero and a dark gray Scorpio, and soon after, gunmen inside the vehicle began shooting at Sidhu; he was quickly taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
