Jake Bobo, an American football player for the UCLA Bruins, is the son of Casey and Mike Bobo. Both Casey and Mike have extensive sporting experience. Jake’s father, Mike Bobo, was also a football player. He played football for three seasons at Dartmouth College, where he was a full-time starter from 1988 to 1991 and even led the team in 1991. Mike’s football experience at Dartmouth shows his leadership qualities, and Jake may have acquired some of those traits genetically.
Jake’s mother, Casey Bobo, was also interested in college athletics. She played ice hockey at Dartmouth College, adding to her family’s sporting history. Jake’s parents not only went to the same college, but also became a loving family. David Hagerman, his maternal grandfather, played four seasons of ice hockey at the University of New Hampshire. Similarly, one of his aunts, Jamie Hagerman Phinney, played hockey at Harvard. At the 2006 Olympic Games in Turin, Italy, she won a bronze medal with the US hockey team. Kully Hagerman Reardon, his second aunt, excelled in field hockey and lacrosse at Middlebury College. She was instrumental in the NCAA Lacrosse Championship. So the Bobo family has a long and illustrious sporting history, and Jake Bobo continues that lineage with his excellent football career.
