JAMES Morrison’s tragic partner was looking for a house to rent before she was found dead.
Gill Catchpole, 45, was discovered on Friday at the home she shares with the singer and their two daughters in Whitminster, Gloucestershire.

She posted in a Facebook group looking for a house to rent
A family friend confirmed to The Sun that there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding her death and said James, 39, was being comforted by family and friends.
It has now emerged that Gill, who owned a cafe in the village, had been looking for a house the day before the tragedy.
She wrote in an open local Facebook group: “Looking for a house to rent in Whitminster ASAP. Please contact me if anyone knows or hears of anything. TIA [thanks in advance].”
A family friend also shared the request, saying: “Gill is a very dear friend of mine. If anyone has properties to rent, preferably in the Whitminster area, please let me know or message Gill directly.”
It is not known if Gill was looking for a home for herself or someone else.
Gill, who shares daughters Elsie, 15, and five-year-old Ada with James, ran a cafe called the Cotswold Sandwich Box.
She previously wrote about her excitement about starting a business after undergoing a kidney transplant in 2022.
The mom said in a November 2023 post that “after many ups, downs and pain, I’m here and I have my job.”
Gill’s death is the fourth tragedy to strike Brit Award-winning artist James, following the deaths of his father, brother and nephew.
The You Give Me Something singer met Gill when he was 17 after she moved into his mother’s home with her then-boyfriend.
James serenaded his future partner by singing songs from Stevie Wonder’s album Key Of Life.
They ended up hooking up, and the couple later had children together.
Speaking to The Sun in 2019, James revealed that his album You’re Stronger Than You Know was inspired by Gill after their daughter Ada was born 13 weeks premature.
He said: “Thankfully I can look back and it’s all rosy and rosy now.
“Ada-Rose has just turned one and is a normal, happy baby, and Elsie, who is now ten, is a great big sister.
“But when Gill broke her water and she was born so early and tiny, we didn’t know what was going to happen.
“That’s probably the lowest I’ve ever been.
“That’s why now, looking back, I called the album You’re Stronger Than You Know, because Gill was amazing.”
