Jamie Lee Curtis Leaves 2024 Oscars Early and Heads to In-N-Out for Burgers and Fries After Presenting

Jamie Lee Curtis partook in an Oscars tradition on Sunday night: getting a post-show meal at In-N-Out.

Earlier in the evening, Curtis attended the 2024 Academy Awards, where she presented the award for Best Supporting Actress to winner Da’Vina Joy Randolph. She was joined by several former winners in the category, including Mary Steenburgen, Lupita Nyong’o, Rita Moreno and Regina King.

But not long after Curtis’ work ended, the 65-year-old apparently left the Dolby Theater in Hollywood and headed to In-N-Out for dinner after the show.

Curtis revealed on Instagram that her trip to Los Angeles for the launch gig was a very short one. She shared her short checklist: “FALL IN. EXPAND AND BEND. PRESENT AT THE OSCARS. GO TO @inandout_burger. FLY AWAY.”

Curtis, who won her first Oscar last year for her role in Everything everywhere and at once, she shared photos of herself in the car, her In-N-Out drive-up server, and her row in the cup holder on her seat. It included fries, a hamburger and a juice.

In-N-Out has been a popular spot for celebrities throughout awards season. In January, Paul Giamatti celebrated winning the Golden Globe for The Holdovers at In-N-Out and was noticed by fans. When asked about a moment during the episode Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the actor said that he did not cause a crowd in the restaurant. “Nobody really cared,” he said of his trip.

“The tradition of the awards is In-N-Out after the show,” Oscars host Jimmy Kimmel explained to PEOPLE on March 2. “And I think one of the reasons why is because when people are in LA, one of the things on their list is to go to In-N-Out — and there are a lot of people who are in LA just for the Oscars – so they end up saying like, ‘Okay.’ ”

“Also, get really hungry, so In-N-Out is definitely an awards tradition,” added Kimmel, who hosted the awards for the fourth time Sunday night. “I don’t mind McDonald’s, but it’s In-N-Out on awards night.”

Kimmel even joked about the tradition in an Oscar commercial Barbie starring Ryan Gosling, America Ferrera and Kate McKinnon.
