Jamie Lee Curtis rejects negativity for the new year.
On Friday, January 3 Fucking Friday star, 66, revealed his pros and cons for 2025 while speaking with PEOPLE at the Palm Springs International Film Festival Film Awards in Palm Springs, California.
When asked what she was leaving behind in 2024, Curtis said, “disappointment.”
She added that this had been a “difficult year for many people”. However, she pointed out that she is looking to a brighter future and manifests “hope” in 2025.

In 2024, Halloween the star received an honorary degree from the American Film Institute and even deleted her X (formerly Twitter) account. She also starred in The last showgirlalong with Pamela Anderson, and produced and starred in it Stickyheist series about a Canadian syrup grower who assembles a team to fight the country’s multi-million dollar maple syrup industry.
Curtis also has plenty to look forward to in the new year. She previously announced that she and Lindsay Lohan will be back Crazy Fridaysequel to the 2003 comedy Fucking Fridaywhich should arrive in theaters in August.

The couple revealed that filming on the sequel began in June at Walt Disney Studios with an Instagram post showing them holding hands on set. She also shared how emotional she became when filming ended, showing off an Instagram photo of herself crying in the mirror.

“Mom was awake and it was already past bedtime. No filter. A little sleep. A lot of laughter and a little blood, a lot of sweat and a lot of tears,” she wrote with the photo.
“We made it for all of you,” Curtis said of the film in her post, “and I can’t wait for you to see it and I’m thrilled to be reunited with @lindsaylohan and to watch new talent emerge and expand.”
During the performance at Today in December, she also teased what people can expect from the new sequel. According to Entertainment Weeklywill focus on Lohan and Curtis’ characters switching bodies with two teenage girls.
“We couldn’t make this movie until now because Lindsay [Lohan] had to be old enough to have a 15-year-old,” Curtis said during an appearance on Today. “She has a 15-year-old, so I’m a grandmother now.”
She added that despite the new story, the film will be filled with a lot of “nostalgia” for a long time Fucking Friday fans hope to see.
“And it checks every box you want,” the actress said. “It has the nostalgia of the original movie with Pink Slip and Chad Michael Murray.”
