Jamie-Lynn Sigler’s son Beau has finally left the hospital.
The Soprano family actress, 43, shared a heartwarming video on Instagram over the weekend of her 10-year-old son Beau “running away” from the hospital to the cheers of medical staff after being diagnosed with a rare inflammatory autoimmune disorder, acute disseminated encephalomyelitis (ADEM).
“After 33 days, let’s get out of here! My brave boy, you are a walking miracle,” Sigler wrote alongside the clip shared on August 16. “Beau will tell the rest of this story, if he chooses one day.”
“Thank you to the AMAZING staff at Dells Children’s Hospital. The way you care for your patients and the way you guide their families through the process, I just don’t have enough words,” she continued. “I am amazed by your patience, dedication and expertise… But, no offense… I hope we never see you again✌️.”
“Thank you all for your love and prayers. They worked. 🙏🏻🩷,” concluded Sigler.

A preview photo of the post shows Beau standing with his back to the camera in what appears to be a waiting room pointing at himself while a sign above him reads, “Heroes this way,” with an arrow pointing to the left.
In the video shared, a smiling Beau walked down the hospital corridor to loud cheers from medical staff and patients, who stood on each side of the corridor as they watched him leave. At one point, the 10-year-old bounced down the hall while high-fiving some of the cheerleaders.

Following Beau’s release from the hospital, Sigler also re-shared a post on her Instagram Stories about a “life shake,” defining it as, “A significant, sudden, and unexpected change in the trajectory of your life that initially seems devastating, but has the beneficial outcome of catalyzing personal growth, transformation and rebirth.”
Her latest hopeful post about Beau comes after she took to Instagram on August 6 to reveal his “nightmare” diagnosis.

“4 weeks ago, what seemed like a normal viral infection for our son turned into a nightmare,” she wrote alongside a photo of her and Beau smiling at the time. “Beau has what we believe he is, ADEM.”
ADEM is an acute, rapidly progressive autoimmune disease affecting the brain and spinal cord that is usually caused by inflammation from a previous infection or immunization, according to the National Institutes of Health.
“To say this has been difficult is an understatement and I’ve never felt more broken,” Sigler continued, adding, however, that she’s never felt more love” from her supportive friends and family, including her husband Cutter Dykstra and son Jack , 6.

Sigler told about her MeSsy podcast with Christina Applegate that before Beau was admitted to the hospital, his symptoms included a fever of 105 degrees, “screaming” that he had a headache and not being able to eat or urinate.
“It was and it was like the darkest, hardest, most f*cking thing I’ve ever been through,” Sigler said on the Aug. 6 podcast, adding that she thought her son was “dying.”
