Jamyang Tsering Namgyal was born on Sunday, August 4, 1985 (age 34; as of 2019) in Maso village, Ladakh. He received his primary education at the Central Buddhist Institute in Leh.
He pursued his Bachelor of Arts degree from Jammu University. When Jamyang was in college, he served as president of the All Ladakh Students Association (ALSA) for a year.

Jamyang Tsering Namgyal believed in Buddhism. His father, Stazin Dorjey, was a carpenter in the military engineering department. His mother, Ishey Putit, was a housewife. Profession
In 2012, when Jamyang was still in college, he joined the Bharatiya Janata Party. On January 1, 2013, he was appointed as the Spokesperson and State Affairs Officer of the PPP for Ladakh. In 2014, Jamyang was appointed to handle the campaign of former Ladakh MP Thupstan Chhewang. He handled the matter successfully, and when Thupstan Chhewang was elected to Parliament, Jamyang was appointed as his personal secretary.
On November 3, 2015, Jamyang contested the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) elections from Martselang constituency. He won by a record margin and was elected to LAHDC. On December 1, 2015, Jamyan was appointed as the additional media secretary of the BJP Jammu and Kashmir. On June 19, 2018, the LAHDC executive member (chairman) resigned and Jamyang was elected as LAHDC chairman. By then his popularity had grown and he was elected unopposed. Jamyang has also been appointed as the Leh district president of the BJP.
In 2019, the Bharatiya Janata Party announced Jayant as the Lok Sabha candidate for the Ladakh Lok Sabha constituency. The Jiayang campaign lasted for several months. He made two major promises to the people of Ladakh – granting Union Territory (UT) status to Ladakh and inclusion of Ladakhi Bhoti in the Eighth Schedule of the Indian Constitution. As Jayan rose from the grassroots to become the Lok Sabha candidate of the BJP, he campaigned in the same vein. Jamyang went door to door to explain to the people of Ladakh the benefits of Ladakh becoming a Union Territory. He won the 2019 Lok Sabha elections with the largest majority ever in a general election in Ladakh.
On June 17, 2019, Chiang Yang Namgyal was sworn in as a member of Parliament in the People’s House. On August 6, 2019, Jiayang gave a speech in Congress, supporting the abolition of Article 370 and Article 35A. He said he supported the decision along with the people of Ladakh. He said he wanted to make Ladakh an important and important Union Territory of India. His speech went viral on the internet. According to reports, people on social media said that his speech was great and that Jamyan took a strong stance to speak out for the well-being of the people of Ladakh, which was admirable. His speech was praised by Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, Smriti Irani and others. Narendra Modi also tweeted a link to his speech in Parliament. He praised him greatly and said that you must listen to his speech.
