On Thursday night, the “Float” hitmaker, 38, posed for photos on the red carpet at the Resorts World Theater in Las Vegas ahead of the 2024 Super Bowl on Sunday.

The singer (who uses the pronouns she/they) wore an elaborately structured strapless mini-dress in shades of grey, black, purple and white, which gave off the illusion of reflection.

On her Instagram Story, Monáe shared a photo of herself at the event, alongside a smaller image of the model wearing the same dress in a different color. The garment was from designer Tony Ward’s spring-summer 2024 collection, Monáe pointed out.

“In the radius of a striking mini black dress with a voluminous circular pattern of black and silver sequins tied innovatively on a tulle base to complete the appeal,” the description of the customizable and made-to-order dress reads on the website .

Over the weekend, she wore a daring “flowy” look to the 2024 Grammy Awards in Los Angeles.

While speaking with E! host Laverne Cox on the red carpet, the multi-hyphenate entertainer explained how her outfit ties in with the theme of her fourth studio album, Age of pleasure.

“I feel classic, timeless, futuristic. I’m standing in Black pride and it’s liquid black and I’m in a state of joy,” they said. “This album was about joy. And this time I wanted joy for my people. I’m so happy to be nominated for album of the year.”

To celebrate, Monáe wore a strapless Giorgio Armani Privé gown with a plunging neckline embroidered with black sequins and trimmed with silver beading. The waist of the design also featured floral accents of black and silver crystals.

The 2017 CFDA Fashion Icon Award winner, who is known for wearing black and white, often talks about the role fashion plays in her life.

Monáe first came in 2011 with the luxury brand’s late creative director and fondly remembers it as the most memorable.

“I went with Karl, so this is full circle for us to honor him. I’m really excited about what we’re going to do,” she told PEOPLE exclusively of her appearance, which she promised would be “an experience.”
