Janina Elkin was born on Monday, December 20, 1982 (38 years old in 2020) in Kyiv, Ukraine. She began her dance training at a very young age at the Kyiv State Academy of Dance. Later, she studied ballet at the Mannheim State Ballet Academy in Germany. In 2001, she entered the Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Academy in New York and studied for four years on the acting course. After that, in 2012, she studied for two years on the course at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin. In order to acquire professional skills, she participated in various additional acting courses, such as the Method Acting Masterclass (2010), Meisner Technique Training at Actors-Space Berlin (2010), Ivana Chubak Masterclass (2018), etc.
