Jason Kelce Admits He 'Teared Up' Watching His First Eras Tour Show: 'It Was So Special'

Jason Kelce was brought to tears by his first Eras Tour experience.

Speaking during the latest episode of his and brother Travis Kelce’s podcast, New heights with Jason and Travis KelceJason, 36, spoke about attending Taylor Swift’s tour in London and how one moment in particular got him emotional.

Travis, 34, began the segment by sharing how Jason and his wife Kylie Kelce “arrived at the Eras Tour and watched Tay absolutely destroy it.”

“Dude, it was amazing,” Jason said in the episode, which was filmed on Saturday, June 22, a day after Jason and Kylie attended their first show.

“It was so cool,” Travis added. “Playing in front of 90,000 people at Wembley Stadium.”

“It was crazy impressive,” Jason continued. “There’s something, like obviously Taylor is an amazing singer and songwriter, but then to be able to go out there and be a performer at that level how long was she up there, three and a half hours, four hours?”

“Yeah. 45 songs,” Travis added. “Crazy… If I’m in a tent, like, god. I need a break.”

“It was a great experience. The Swifties make it memorable,” Jason continued, before talking about the moment that brought him to tears.

“Hat 22? Man, I’ve never cried at a freaking concert and I literally teared up watching this whole little girl… I’m about to cry. It was so fucking special.”

Jason was referencing the moment on the Eras Tour when Swift, 34, gives her coveted “22” fedora to an audience member while performing a song during a Red Era performance.

“She got involved in it, man. It was great,” Travis added. “In every show, she does it. And it makes every performance unique with an acoustic set.”

“That was my favorite part. Just her, a guitar and 90,000 people,” Jason replied. “And it blends from one song to another… Like, to be good in front of 9,000 people with just that, I think you have to be amazing. And you have to, first, have great songs and great lyrics, which she obviously wrote and produced. And then two, to be able to perform it flawlessly on the spot, nothing else to hide, that was the highlight of the night for me.”

“It feels like you’re in a bar just listening to someone play the piano,” he added.

Jason and Kylie also attended the second night of Swift’s shows at Wembley, but the third night saw fans get their biggest surprise when Travis joined Swift on stage on Sunday, June 23.

Travis shocked fans by debuting his pop star girlfriend’s “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” outfit. The segment was added following the release of her latest studio album, Department for tortured poetsApril 19.

At that point, Travis, who was dressed in a tuxedo, top hat and Christian Louboutin shoes, stepped in for the dancer Swift usually wears during the segment and pretended to touch her face with powder.
