Jason Kelce Honored with a Mural Outside Dunkin' After Announcing His NFL Retirement

Jason Kelce’s time in the NFL may have come to an end, but Pennsylvania Dunkin’ wants to immortalize his career.

Dunkin’s location in Havertown, Penn. just outside of Philadelphia is honoring the former Eagles center’s career with a mural on the side of the store.

The mural, created by Jimmy McMenamin, features a large, black-and-white image of the star and says “Kelce” in large turquoise block letters. “Thank you Jason!” it’s written in Dunkin’s classic bubbles.

Additionally, the background is a mix of football and coffee chain-inspired images — like images with spots or words like “Champion” and “Super Bowl.”

On top of the commemorative mural, Dunkin’ also donated $13,000 to Kelce’s charity: (Be)Philly. (Be)Philly was launched in 2022 and is a non-profit organization focused on supporting Philadelphia public school students.

Kelce, 36, announced his retirement from his 13-season football career during a press conference on March 4. While reflecting on his seven Pro Bowl selections, six first-team All-Pro selections and one Super Bowl title, Kelce talked about how his love for the sport began as a child playing with his brother Travis Kelce. He mentioned their years playing sports together as kids and the joy they both felt when the other was drafted into the NFL.

Jason is not completely leaving football behind. He has attended the Eagle team building “almost every day” since his retirement, former teammate Jake Elliott said in a May 10 interview. He also has a new job working for ESPN’s Monday Night Football broadcasts, a source confirmed to PEOPLE in April.

In a previous episode of the podcast, Travis suggested that his brother Kylie buy a sword, given that the traditional wedding gift for the sixth year of marriage would be something made of iron.

Speaking on the latest episode of the podcast, Jason confirmed: “We have a sword. Kylie loves it.”

Jason discovered that the sword was engraved with Kylie’s nickname. It says, “Happy Anniversary, Princess Kyana.”
