Brantley Gilbert and his wife Amber Cochran Gilbert are expanding their family!
On Monday, May 13 – the day after Mother’s Day – the country star, 39, and his longtime love announced they were expecting their third child in a joint Instagram post.
Along with photos of the couple – and later, their two children – holding the ultrasound of baby no. 3, the “Bottoms Up” singer noted the appropriate timing of the announcement, writing, “How’s this for Mother’s Day?”
The country world, including Bailey Zimmerman and Jason Aldean, gathered in the comments section to congratulate the couple.

“Dude WE GO GOOOOO,” Zimmerman said, while Aldean wrote: “Congratulations my friend. So happy for you.”
The “You Make It Easy” singer’s wife, Brittany Kerr Aldean, also offered her congratulations, as did Jelly Roll’s wife, Bunnie XO, who wrote: “Another beautiful baby! Congratulations to you two!”
Brantley and Amber’s newest addition will join their two children, daughter Braylen Hendrix, 4, and son Barrett Hardy-Clay, 6.
Speaking about Braylen’s birth in 2019, the country singer-songwriter told PEOPLE, “We’re so lucky to be able to welcome Braylen, and mom and baby are doing great.”

When they welcomed Barrett in 2017, the star told PEOPLE she was “speechless.”
“Watching the delivery, I don’t even know what to say,” he said, adding, “Amber and I are so grateful and blessed to have this beautiful little boy.”
As the couple prepares to bring home baby no. 3, their ninth wedding anniversary is approaching.
As they celebrated eight years together last June, the country star shared a healthy post on Instagram, writing, “Hard to believe I get to call this fire– hot rock star mom my wife. We’ve been through it and been blessed with , so much in the last 8 years, and I can only imagine what God has in store for us and our family in the next 8… and beyond.”
“I love you, beautiful girl,” he added. “Happy Anniversary!”
In 2022, Gilbert revealed to PEOPLE that parenting is “one of the scariest things on the planet” for him. “You only get one shot at it, right? You have to do it right,” he said at the time. “And I worry about that.”
The star also explained that she has a “bad habit of thinking I know everything,” but that getting married and starting a family “showed me that I didn’t understand as much as I thought.”
“Especially with girls like my wife and daughter, I feel like those relationships are always evolving and changing,” he said. “It’s pretty hard on Dad sometimes.”
