Dawn Robinson sets the record straight.
After the founder EN Vogue, 58, revealed that she has lived in her car for the last three years in a video on YouTube on March 11, she posted a statement in which she determined some misconceptions about her life situation.
“Sometimes in life we end up in situations we didn’t expect,” Robinson said. “We need to learn or teach something, but we are too afraid to get out of our comfort zones to do this – so the universe does this for us! During this period of growth or learn to believe ourselves or surrender to fear and failure.”

She then said that she wanted to clarify some moves from her video: “I want to make it clear: I’m not homeless. I temporarily choose the life of a car as part of my travel healing and self -discretion.
“I took the risk and jumped my head into this lifestyle, and Wow, what a crazy, fun, sometimes scary ride,” Robinson continued. “For me, failure is not an option. Being vulnerable is shit, but I grow here. This is about accepting freedom, trust in the process and finding strength in the unexpected.”
The “Free Your Mind” singer also released a warning to fans who wanted to support her. “I am aware that some individuals can ask for funds on my behalf through platforms such as Cash App, Gofundme or other funds,” she said. “I want to be clear: I have not approved any campaigns to raise funds, and I do not want anyone – especially my loyal fans – to be cheated or used.”
