Jason Kelce reveals the rule his wife Kylie Kelce requires him to follow to keep everyone in their household happy!
During the performance at Green Light with Chris Long released Friday, Aug. 9, the former Philadelphia Eagles 36-year-old center revealed that his wife, 32, recently enforced a rule that he must work out “at least three days a week or she doesn’t want to deal with me.”
Green light co-hosts Long 39, and Beau Allen then began talking with Jason and another podcast guest, fellow retired NFL star Brent Celek, about why exercise is important for former NFL stars.
Long — who retired in 2019 after 11 years in the league — sympathized with his former Eagle teammate, saying part of the reason retired football players “struggle” when they leave the game is because they’re “used to a certain amount of physical activity .”

The podcaster explained that exercise affects “dopamine” and “how you wake up in the morning.”
Jason, a father of three, agreed. “When I work out, I’m in a great mood. I communicate well with my kids and everyone… I’m just a better person,” he said.
In contrast, he said that if he has to skip a workout, he feels like he’s “not very productive for the day … like you’re missing out.”
Although the athlete still needs to exercise for his mental and physical health, he explained in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE in June why he knew it was time to retire after the 2023-2024 NFL season, after considering retirement for the past four years and deciding against toga.

“And after I stepped down this year, it was more and more obvious after the season that my body was telling me to stop,” he said. “I don’t think I could play another season the way I want to and the way it’s going to make me happy.”
As for what’s next for Jason and Kylie’s family, the couple – who tied the knot in 2018 – have both hinted at the possibility of a fourth child together.
“It’s not my decision,” Jason told PEOPLE exclusively in July. “We talked about having certain numbers before we had kids, but I think Kylie fits the bill.”

In an interview for New York Magazine website The Strategist, Kylie, a former field hockey player, touched on the possibility.
“We’re changing the clothes we bought for our first daughter now on our youngest, so we’ve gone through a lot of things that were handed down to me,” she said. “Hanna Anderson’s PJs last forever. We still have them packed away, just in case there’s a fourth at the end.”
The couple currently have daughters Wyatt (4), Elliott (3) and Bennett (16 months).
