Jason Kelce Secures First-Ever Win Over Brother Travis as Eagles Beat Chiefs 21-17

Older brother Jason Kelce secured his first victory over his younger brother, Travis Kelce, during the recent rematch between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs.

Trailing 27-17, the Eagles built a lead throughout the second half and were able to hold off Travis’ team from securing their fifth win in the last time the siblings met on the field.

Although Travis scored a touchdown in the first half, it wasn’t enough to prevent his brother’s team from eventually beating the Chiefs. The Eagles were able to shut down the Chiefs offense throughout the second half while scoring 14 more points.

Right after the game, Jason and Travis found themselves on the court, where they had a brief interaction, sharing a hug and a laugh before Travis continued on, and Jason walked around greeting people on the court.

Crew Kelce, meanwhile, was in attendance for Travis and Jason’s big match, including their mom Donna Kelce, who was briefly seen in the suite during the second half of the game. Notably absent, however, was Travis’ beau Taylor Swift, who had to miss the game due to her concert in Brazil.

Donna made several appearances before Monday’s game, including a stop at Raising Cane’s and Kylie’s Kansas City Kids Field Hockey Camp on Sunday. Before the game, she told PEOPLE that she would be breaking out her Hall of Fame split jacket, which features half of Jason’s Eagles colors and half of Travis’ Chiefs’ red.

She told PEOPLE that the Pro Football Hall of Fame, which currently houses her Super Bowl LVII wardrobe, “gave me my jacket back so I could wear it the last time they played each other.”

While the teams have faced each other many times in NFL history, this is only the fifth time the Eagles and Chiefs have played with both siblings on the roster.

The teams first met in 2013. However, Travis was out with an injury during that game.

The next matchup between the Chiefs and Eagles was in 2017, followed by 2021, and most notably the 2023 Super Bowl, which some have affectionately dubbed the Kelce Bowl.

When Jason asked Travis about a recent episode of their show New heights podcast if he likes playing against him, Travis said it’s “hell fun, man.”

“I enjoy just being in the NFL with you, let alone when we’re actually sharing the field,” he continued. “It brings our whole family together, all our friends to watch one game. Other than the score at the end, I know that … I definitely have fun every single game we’ve ever played.”
