Jason Roy was educated at Whitgift School after transferring from The Hawthorns School. In 2015 he made his ODI debut and in 2014 he made his T20I debut. He played for England in the 2019 Cricket World Cup, which they won.
Roy bats right-handed as an opening batsman. He and Alex Hales had England’s longest ODI partnership (256* against Sri Lanka during their 2016 tour) and England’s highest ODI score (180 against Australia during England’s 2018 tour).
