Jatinder Pannu is a well-known Indian journalist and social activist. He is known for hosting a news show on Prime Asia TV, a Canadian Punjabi television channel.

Jatinder Singh Pannu was born on Tuesday, October 19, 1954 (66 years old in 2020) in Saghira, a small village near Tarn Taran Sahib in Punjab. He completed his primary education in this village and moved away from the village when he was 11 years old.

Jatinder started his career by writing columns for the Punjabi newspaper Nawan Zamana published in Jalandhar. According to him, the newspaper taught him the basics of journalism. Soon, he became the editor of the newspaper. During his initial days in journalism, Mr. Pannu was also part of the news show Khas Khabar Ik Nazar, which was telecasted every Friday morning on Punjabi television by Jalandhar Television.
Jatinder was the first journalist to host a news show on Prime Asia TV. As of 2020, he has become the most watched journalist on Prime Asia TV, with his show “Prime Discussion With Jatinder Pannu” having aired over 800 episodes. His primary audience is Punjabis living abroad, and he is often praised for his outspoken views against the government.
As a writer
As of 2020, Mr. Pannu has written six books, including a satire titled Rang Duniya De, a collection of poetry titled Ajj Nama, Dastaan Pachhon De Panchiya Di, and Sikh Dharam De Samajik Sarokar. According to him, he distributed the first two editions of Sikh Dharam De Samajik Sarokar to young people for free as the purpose of writing the book was to promote Sikh culture to young people.
