Jay Leno will always show up for a good cause!
A week ago, the comedian, 74, fell down a steep hill in Pennsylvania, severely injuring his face and body and breaking his wrist. His injuries were still visible on Thursday, November 21, when he was spotted in Los Angeles. However, on Friday, Nov. 22, he appeared to cover up his bruises from a fall while hosting a charity event at the Wynn Las Vegas hotel with makeup.
Tonight’s show former host traveled from California to host amfAR’s inaugural charity event in Las Vegas, where Sylvester Stallone and his wife, Jennifer Flavin Stallone, were honored with amfAR’s Inspiration Award in “recognition of their generous support of amfAR’s work on saving lives, along with numerous other causes related to health, education and women’s rights,” the press release states.

The evening also included performances by Diana Ross and Amber Riley. Leno attended the event in a blue suit paired with black formal shoes.
He told TMZ earlier this week that he fell while trying to walk to a nearby restaurant at the bottom of his hotel, which, according to Inside Edition, was a Hampton Inn about 30 miles outside of Pittsburgh.
Leno performed at the Palace Theater in Greenhouse, Penn., on Friday, Nov. 15, and later performed at the Yaamava’ Theater in Highland, Calif., on Saturday, Nov. 16.
“To get to [the restaurant]I didn’t have a car, so you had to walk about a kilometer and a half around. I said, ‘Well, the hill doesn’t look that steep. It is about 60-70 feet. To see if I can go down the hill,’ I fell. Boom, boom, boom. I rolled down the hill, hit my head on a rock, hit me in the eye,” he told TMZ.

CBS News spoke with Gary Latshaw, owner of Latshaw Productions, the company that produced his show on Friday, who recalled seeing Len after the incident.
“I was thinking, ‘I’ve got to call 911,’ because I thought, whatever happened, it was a bad fall,” Latshaw said.
