Jaya Bhaduri (maiden name) was born on Friday, April 9, 1948, in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh (age 75; as of 2023). Her zodiac sign is Aries. Jaya gave birth to her first child Shweta Bachchan on March 17, 1974, and her second child Abhishek Bachchan was born on February 5, 1976.
Shweta Bachchan married businessman Nikhil Nanda on February 16, 1997. The couple has two children, daughter Navya Naveli Nanda and son Agastya Nanda.
On April 20, 2007, Abhishek Bachchan married Aishwarya Rai and had a daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan.

Jaya Bachchan started working as a child actor in Bengali films at the age of 15. She made her acting debut in the Bengali film Mahanagar in 1963, directed by Satyajit Ray. After appearing in three Bengali films, she joined the Film and Television Institute of India in Pune to hone her acting skills.
In 1971, she starred in the Bollywood film Gudi for the first time. Some of her hit Bollywood films include “Uphaar” (1971), “Koshish” (1972) and “Kora Kagaz” (1974). In 1972, she debuted as a female lead in the film “Bansi Birju” with Amitabh Bachchan.
