JEE Main 2024 Updates: Registration Starts Soon, Age Limit and Educational Qualification Required

Eligibility for JEE Main 2024

JEE Main 2024: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) notification and application form soon. The authorities will conduct NTA JEE Main 2024 twice this time – in January and April. As per the exam dates announced earlier, the January session of JEE Main is scheduled to be held between January 24 and February 1, while the April session will be held from April 1 to 15, 2023.

In order to appear in the exam, candidates will have to register online at jeemain.nta.nic.in, once the application form is released. Since the authorities have not yet issued a notification, it has been reported that the authorities are working on it. Till then candidates can check other details about JEE Main 2024 like registration, age limit, qualification and reservation criteria.

JEE Main Eligibility Criteria 2024

The NTA prescribes the eligibility criteria for the Engineering Entrance Examination. These criteria include factors such as educational qualifications, 12th grade marks, age limits and nationality. Qualification exam

Students should have passed class 12 or qualified for the 2022 or 2023 exam.

Those passing 12th grade or equivalent qualifying exams in 2024 can also apply.

JEE Main Age Limit

There is no age limit to appear in JEE Main 2024. Any student who has passed 12th or its equivalent can apply for IIT entrance exam

Total number of attempts

Students can take the JEE Main exam for three consecutive years. The entrance exam will be conducted in two attempts (January and April).

Subjects

BE/B.Tech: Candidates should have passed the qualifying examination in Physics, Mathematics and any of (Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology or Technical Vocational Subject)

B.Arch: Applicants should have passed the class exam in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry

JEE Main 2024 Reservation Percentage Under Central Govt

The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is conducted for admission to Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and Government Funded Technical Institutions (GFTIs).

NTA will also announce the reservation criteria for JEE Main along with the official notification. It includes category-wise JEE Main 2024 reservation percentage and eligibility requirements to be fulfilled by the candidates.
