Jeetendra is an Indian actor, producer and non-executive chairman of Balaji Telefilms. He is known for his signature energetic dance style, which earned him the nickname “Jumping Jack.” He is also known for his all-white outfits, which he wears with white shoes. As of 2023, he has acted in more than 200 films, including Farz (1967), Jeene Ki Raah (1969), Dharam Veer (1977), Judaai (1980), Jaani ” and other hit films such as “Dost” (1983), “Himatwala” (1983) and “Tohfa” (1984).

Jeetendra was born Ravi Kapoor (age 81; as of 2023) on Tuesday, April 7, 1942, in Amritsar, Punjab, British India (now India). His zodiac sign is Aries. Jeetuji received an offer to do a TV show and we sought advice from a friend who ran Asia Television in London. He discouraged him from acting and instead asked him to produce television content for him. Within two months in 1994 we opened our own production plant. Ekta was 19 years old at the time. “
She further added,
Our friend quickly sold Asia TV to Zee TV and no longer needs the content. However, I produced a lot of content and invested all my savings into it, and had to stand on my own feet. After a year of struggling, we sold the show to different channels, and by 1996 we dominated television. All of this happened in the garage (basement, also parking lot) of my home where I ran an office for six years. “
They are the parents of a daughter and a son. Their daughter Ekta Kapoor is a well-known film and television director, producer, venture capitalist and businesswoman. She is also the Managing Director and Creative Director of Balaji Telefilms. Their son Tusshar Kapoor is a famous Indian actor and producer. He is also the co-owner of Balaji Telefilms and Balaji Films.

According to sources, Jeetendra was just 14 years old when he first met Shobha Kapoor. After a long-term relationship of more than ten years, they finally got married on October 13, 1974, in the presence of their close relatives and friends, right after the release of his super hit film Love (1974).
When Jeetendra started dating Rekha, Rekha was already dating her long-time girlfriend Shobha. According to Yasser Usman’s biography “Rekha: The Untold Story,” Rekha overheard Jeetendra talking to Talking to a junior artist and feeling hurt by his perception of her, she ended her relationship with Jeetendra. The biography further claims that Rekha said in an interview,
I hated the man who ruined my childhood ideals of love, romance, and marriage. There was a time when I was just like other girls. I just want someone I respect, admire, and trust. I trust Jeetu. I wasn’t eager to get married or anything. I just want him to be fair to me and get as much out of the relationship as possible. “
Jeetendra was also rumored to be having an affair with Sridevi, but she denied it in an interview and said:
no way! To be honest, till today, I have not been to Jeetu’s hotel room and he has not come home. I know people say a lot of bad things all the time, but it’s the truth. I am a naive girl. I’m not a fool, but I’m not a calculating person either. And I’m certainly not a cannibal. “
After working together in “Waris” (1969) and “Gehri Chaal” (1973), Jeetendra and Hema Malini became close and decided to get married soon. According to sources, when Shobha heard about the incident, she immediately took Dharmendra to the wedding venue and terminated their marriage. According to Hema Malini’s authorized biography Hema Malini: Beyond the Dream Girl, she almost tied the knot with Jeetendra, but stopped at the last minute and changed her mind. Jeetendra started his career as an extra and stunt double for actor Sandhya Shantaram in the 1959 film Navrang. In an interview, he talked about his journey to becoming a stand-in, saying:
We shot in Bikaner. Mr. V Shantaram is very particular about timing. I was late for dinner and he got angry and asked the crew to send me back. They told my makeup artist not to prepare me for the shoot the next day. The next morning, I got up at five and asked the makeup artist to get me ready. I walked into Mr. V Shantaram’s room with tears streaming down my face. He saw me dressed up and was impressed. Since then, I haven’t given him any chance. I will be his chamchagiri (flattery) and do whatever he asks. So I even became Sandhya’s stand-in. “

Revenue in 2023 is Rs 593 crore. When asked in an interview why he entered the television industry, Jeetendra replied:
