Political career
In March 2016, Jeevan joined AAP. In the 2017 parliamentary elections, she managed the MAJITHA campaign and was the only female volunteer in the city. Later, she became co-chairman of the women’s wing of AAP. She coordinated the campaign during the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. She became the spokesperson of AAP from Amritsar North constituency in Punjab in 2022. On March 10, 2022, she won the Amritsar East Assembly seat in Punjab in the 2022 state legislative assembly elections. In the elections, she contested against political leaders such as Punjab Congress president Najot Singh Sidhu, Shiromani Akali Dal’s Bikram Singh Majithia and Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Jagmohan Singh Raju. The Electoral Commission reported that she won 39,520 votes, Sidhu won 32,807 votes and Majithia won 25,112 votes. In an interview, she discussed her victory and said:
I met with people after my tickets were announced on December 30th and got very positive feedback. People told me that I might come to them now but they decided to vote for AAP six months ago… They told me to go home and rest. “

Jeevan is also passionate about social work. After completing her LLB, she served as the President of Shri Hemkunt Education Society (SHE), Amritsar, which works for the welfare of the poor and disadvantaged sections of the community. She actively spreads awareness about menstrual hygiene and distributes reusable sanitary napkins to women. In an interview, she spoke about the idea of spreading menstrual hygiene and said she felt very sad when she saw women in slums using unhygienic and harmful methods during their periods. She further added,
The products available in the market are made of plastic, which is hygienically dangerous in the long run. I also have a team of doctors who give me the same reassurance. Moreover, there is no commercial motivation behind this step, just to ensure that women take the right approach. “
In 2013, she became the Managing Director of Kids Bulletin Pvt. Ltd., Amritsar. In February 2015, she served as the chairperson of the People’s Forum for Justice in Amritsar. In August 2015, she became a member of the ALL Ladies League and served as Chapter President. In 1995, she became a member of the EcoShe menstrual health programme, which aims to provide a clean and healthy environment to women in Amritsar.
