Jeff Bezos has added another impressive property to his Florida real estate portfolio.
After reportedly spending $68 million on a mansion near Miami Beach last summer, the 59-year-old Amazon founder has bought a home next door for $79 million, multiple sources confirm to PEOPLE.
“Bezos paid $79 million for his neighbor’s house this week,” said one source, adding, “He must be looking to have one big party on Miami Beach.”
His recently purchased property is said to have been built in 2000 and is spread over two acres. The seven-bedroom space is packed with luxury amenities including a wine cellar, home theater, pool and cabana.

With both homes, he spent a total of $147 million on luxury residences in the Florida area favored by high-profile owners such as Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner, Tom Brady and musician Julio Iglesias.
The real estate agents for this week’s sale, Dina Goldentayer and Danilo Tavares of Douglas Elliman, had no comment when contacted by PEOPLE.

Bezos’ real estate moves come after a summer spent motoring around the Mediterranean with fiancee Lauren Sánchez on his megayacht.
The billionaire and the 53-year-old Emmy Award-winning journalist got engaged on a boat on Italy’s Amalfi Coast in August, a source confirmed to PEOPLE at the time.
The celebration took place two months after the couple got engaged in May. Bezos and Sánchez went public with their relationship in January 2019, shortly after Bezos announced his divorce from MacKenzie Scott after 25 years of marriage.
