Garner spoke exclusively with PEOPLE at the premiere of her film, family switch, in November, admitting she couldn’t help but ask her three children “a bunch of questions” before preparing to play a teenager in the Netflix comedy.

“You turn up the volume so much because everything is so over the top,” Garner said. “But yeah, I definitely went to my teenagers and asked a bunch of questions. They were all like, ‘Mom, you’re crazy.'”
