Jennifer Garner’s trip to Japan was filled with beautiful sights, delicious food, and a few boundary-pushing personal experiences.
On Thursday, August 15, Garner, 52, posted about her “dream trip” to Japan on Instagram, breaking down memorable moments and sharing her itinerary. “Dream trip to Japan: bucket list. 🇯🇵,” she began the post.
While traveling abroad, Garner visited temples and shrines, enjoying the serenity of Tenryu-ji and the Kinkaku-ji Golden Pavilion in Kyoto. She also posed in Tokyo and saw the famous 3D cat billboard in Shinjuku, asking “can this guy visit LA please? 🐱.”
Between visits to the temple, Garner checked out the food scene. In one picture, she was wearing pepper while eating ramen noodles. She also posted an oyster farmer catching clams in nets.

In another video, which she calls “the triumph of a former picky eater,” the actress cautiously bites into an abalone. “Respect the life forces that feed us,” she captioned the slide.
Although she seems hesitant at first, she says, “This abalone was alive in front of us five minutes ago. We must honor it by eating it,” before tasting the clams.

Her other excursions included taking a boat ride with a glass of champagne, exploring urban alleys lined with bars and neon signs, and enjoying a peaceful field of water lilies.
Garner also greeted her Deadpool and Wolverine actors Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, share an image of the movie’s poster in Japanese.

After returning from an enviable vacation, Yes day the star visited ex-husband Ben Affleck on August 15 for his birthday.
She was spotted visiting the actor’s home in Brentwood according to pictures he received Page Six.
Garner’s summer was action-packed. Along with her trip to Japan, the actress made an appearance at San Diego Comic-Con for promotion Deadpool and Wolverine — and at one point got stuck in the elevator.
“Thanks for being here. My first Comic-Con,” she said, joking about the unfortunate event in July.

She also brought her mom, Pat Today’s show to bake a cobbler together in June. “Being here with mom is the best!” Garner said of the special appearance.
“It’s just the cutest. I’m so proud of her and so happy we’re here together.”
