Nick Cannon Admits He Has 'No Plans' for Baby No. 13: 'I'm Chilling Right Now' (Exclusive)

The multi-hyphenated star is the father of 12 children

Nick Cannon is content with being the father of 12 children.

In an exclusive chat with PEOPLE surrounding his new Buffalo Wild Wings commercial to promote the restaurant chain’s “Buy One, Get One Wing” deal, the multi-hyphenated star, 43, also talked about future family goals.

When asked if she has any plans to welcome more children to her large family, Cannon laughs and admits, “I’m relaxed right now. There are no plans on the horizon yet.”

“It’s so funny, everyone is always trying to get me to have more kids,” she continues. “As if 12 isn’t enough?”

Cannon shares twins Moroccan and Monroe with ex-wife Mariah Carey; sons Golden Sagon and Rise Messiah Cannon and daughter Powerful Queen with Brittany Bell; twins Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir and daughter Beautiful Zeppelin with Abby De La Rosa; son Legendary Love with Bre Tiesi; and daughter Onyx Ice Cole with LaNisha Cole.

He is also the father of two children with Alyssa Scott — son Zen, who died at the age of 5 months in December 2021 after being diagnosed with brain cancer, and daughter Halo Marie Cannon, born in December 2022.

But if Cannon decides to have another child soon, he’s not worried about making it thirteen, despite many considering that number “unlucky.”

“Thirteen is a good number,” Masked singer explains the host. – That is certainly a lucky number.

Right now, Cannon says he’s “finally catching up” after celebrating the holidays with his kids and is now “getting ready for all the spring break ahead.”

“So we’re getting back outside a lot, a lot of basketball starts again, and just a lot of sports and outdoor activities,” he explains. “As a dad, it’s the kind of thing you structure your schedule around, all your kids’ extracurricular activities.”

Talking about the most rewarding part of being a dad to so many kids, Cannon says, “Just hearing your kids say, ‘I love you, Dad.’ You know what I mean?”

“The first time they say that, whether they’re a year old or 18 months old, to hear it from your kids who are on the verge of being teenagers, there’s nothing better than that,” he continues, also noting that “big hugs” and “picking them up from schools” are some other “best” moments.
