Jennifer Garner Shows Off the Special Spaces Designed for Her Kids in Her L.A. House Tour: 'Dream Come True'

Jennifer Garner designed her Los Angeles home with her children in mind.

On Tuesday, September 3 Family switch The actress, 52, opened the doors to her cozy abode in a video tour filmed for Architectural Digest. During the tour, Garner revealed the rooms she specially created for her children Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12, who she shares with ex-husband Ben Affleck.

The 13 Continues 30 star points out her children’s “entertainment room,” which is filled with built-in bunk beds, “where the kids can comfortably fit in one [room] together.

“This is like a dream come true for me,” explains the mother of three, “because I like having children at parties, but I’m also attached to sleep.”

She adds, “I love having a place where kids can be kids.”

Garner has even kept all of her children’s favorite toys from “when they were very young,” so that any young children who come can “feel welcome and excited.”

She continues, “From time to time, the big kids will still pull out the old toys and play.”

In addition to the bedroom, Garner said she transformed a small closet into her son’s Harry Potter– an inspired office.

It’s “just a little place for him to go in and daydream,” she says of the tiny room. “He mostly hides from me and eats sweets, but I can’t blame him. I would do the same,” she jokes.

Earlier in the video, Garner admits that it “doesn’t feel like me” to share something that’s so personal to her and her family, but she’s “happy” that she did, because she’s proud of the effort she put into it.

“I’m such a private person when it comes to my home, and here I just walked you through the whole house. And indeed, it is for several reasons,” she explains in the video. “I’ve never built anything by myself before and I’m very proud of that. I am filled with gratitude every time I enter my house. To be able to live here, to be so lucky to have my children here.”
