Jennifer Hudson’s Snuggly Sweater Pants Are the Cozy Style That Jennifer Lopez Sprinkles Into Her Outfits, Too

Although I won’t be on television anytime soon, I will actually be dressed as Jennifer Hudson.

While browsing Instagram this week, I spotted Dream girls the actress wearing the most comfortable outfit combination I’ve seen this season. She paired a fuzzy bomber jacket with some even fuzzier slip-on sandals. But best of all were her plush looking sweater pants.

Ever since then, I’ve literally been dreaming about how they look so elegant and they would surely feel so cozy when I’m working from home or taking an afternoon nap. Plus, Jennifer Lopez stepped out in a similar style last April (that is, during another cold spell), and Jennifer Aniston wore sweater pants during the 2022 holiday season.

Sweatpants are warm enough for fall and winter, but are much less rigid than a pair of pants or jeans. Because of this, they are more about comfort and can often be considered dressier.

As for bomber jackets, Katie Holmes and Sarah Jessica Parker wore similar sports tops. Fuzzy sandals are also “in,” according to Sandra Bullock, who added a pair over the summer.

The pilling on the steam I’ve had for several seasons is officially out of control, so I need an upgrade. Earlier I thought I wouldn’t wear too much gray, but I realized how versatile the color is, so I stuck with this Gap option that looks similar to Hudson’s. They’re made from a yarn that’s “cashmere-soft,” according to the brand, and have a ribbed texture that helps camouflage underwear lines.”

I also bought a matching top with my old kit, and it was one of the best decisions I could have made. Luckily, this pair goes perfectly with this turtleneck that’s also on sale, so I’ll be grabbing that as well.

While the blazer has a certain sophisticated spice, the bomber makes the outfit sporty and beautiful. Even though this one has a furry chevron pattern, it still bunches up at the bottom instead of lying perfectly flat and polished. But for something that won’t soak up water right away and that I can wear in fair and foul weather, I’d lean toward this Amazon bestseller that “can handle a light rain,” according to one customer.

Eventually, it may become too cold to wear sandals outside, even if they are fur. But inside? I can’t help myself. They don’t make my feet feel tight and wrapped like socks do and are like a luxurious little treat to slip into right before bed. Also, “the fit, sole pattern, cork lining and lining are like” a more expensive pair that one customer has worn for 30 years.
