Jennifer Lawrence Gets Candid About Aging and Says ‘It’s Incredible What Makeup Can Do’

Jennifer Lawrence gets candid about aging.

In conversation with Kylie Jenner for Interview magazine, the No anger actress, 33, opened up about how her experience with makeup changed as she grew up.

Kylie Jenner says the ‘biggest challenge’ of building Kylie Cosmetics was ‘proving people wrong’ — including mom Kris

“It’s amazing what makeup can do because I work with Hung [Vanngo]who redraws the lip, and I call him a plastic surgeon because in the last few months since I’ve been working with him, everyone is convinced that I’ve had eye surgery – she said.

Lawrence explained that she tells people what has changed is that she is “wearing makeup” and opened up to the Kylie Cosmetics founder, 26, about growing up in the public eye.

“I started at 19, so I get before and after pictures from when I was 19 to 30 and I’m like, ‘I’ve grown up. I’ve lost weight on my face, and my face has changed because I’m getting older.’ Everyone thought I had a nose job, and I said, ‘I had the exact same nose. My cheeks have shrunk. Thank you for bringing that up,'” Lawrence said.

Jenner also explained how her experience with makeup also changed as she grew up.

“I’ll see before and after photos when I’m 12 versus 26 and my eyebrows are filled in differently. I have contour. I’m like, ‘How can you compare my 12-year-old face and say I’ve shaved my jawline and taken off my eyelids?’ ‘ I wonder: “What are we talking about?”, she said.

Although her passion for makeup eventually became a brand, Jenner told Lawrence that developing Kylie Cosmetics started “from the ground up” and that “proving people wrong was a challenge.”

“It was me and my mom and we never made a makeup line. We didn’t know where to start. No one helped us. And my mom [Kris Jenner] I thought I’d be stuck with lip kits in my garage for the rest of my life,” she said.
