Jennifer Lopez Grateful Her Twins Could ‘See the World’ on Her Tour — at Only 4 Years Old: I ‘Never Had’ That

Jennifer Lopez is grateful for the memories she made with her children, now teenagers.

Reflecting on his 2012 “Dancing Again World Tour” in conversation with Travel + free timeLopez, 54, said one of the best parts was being able to bring twins Max and Emma, ​​who were 4 at the time, with her.

“It gave the kids a chance to see the world,” she told the newspaper. “The kids saw South America, Europe, the entire United States, Asia and all the other places.”

“They got to see all of this at a very young age and I always thought, ‘What an amazing thing to do when you’re only 4 years old,'” Lopez continued.

It was a big difference from her own upbringing in the Bronx, something she was happy to provide for her children.

“They came back from that trip saying, ‘Can we come back to Singapore next year?’ Where someone like me, who grew up in the Bronx, never had those things,” she said.

Later in the interview, Lopez talked about how her family — which also includes husband Ben Affleck and his three children — will be spending the holidays.

“My family [members] we’re big holiday people,” she said. “We love Thanksgiving and Christmas, it’s always been a big deal in our house and we’ll spend it together.”

During the performance at Living with Kelly and Mark in May, Mother the actress opened up about parenting teenagers with her husband.

“That’s almost five teenagers!” Lopez told the hosts. “The younger one is 11 years old, so it’s not quite, he’s already a teenager!”

When Ripa teased that those years were “worse than the teenage years,” Lopez insisted, “he’s an angel.”

“But the teenage years are hard,” she admitted. “It’s challenging. You have this baby for a while and then it’s like your best little friend who loves to be with you all the time, and then all of a sudden it’s like, ‘Get out of my room.’

Lopez continued, “This is a time when they’re an individual, and they challenge everything you say and everything you do and everything you are, and that’s what it is. And you just have to ride the waves.”

“I feel like it’s surfing. I’m riding the waves and then it’s like, ‘Oops, I just got knocked over!’ Now I’m back, I’m back!”
