Jeremy Allen White is willing to experience “The Beginning of Something New” — but only if Zac Efron is open to showing him his filmography himself.
Bear star, 32, revealed in an interview with Diversity‘with Just for variety a podcast he never watched High school musical franchise — the three films that launched his career Iron Claw Costar Efron, 36, starting with the 2006 Disney Channel Original Movie.
“I haven’t seen those movies. I haven’t seen them,” White explained to host Marc Malkin. “Sorry, Zac. I will. I’ll watch them.”

While their co-star Stanley Simons previously said that he was “singing something High school musical songs” around Efron on set, the same can’t be said for White. But as White explained during a recent podcast appearance, he’d be up for the party on one condition: “Only if Zac holds my hand through them, ” he joked. “That’s how we’re going to do it.”
After Malkin recommended that a HSM a viewing party could be good for charity, the White star agreed. “Just film Zac and me, fingers entwined in the cinema, watching three… that’s three movies?”
– I will watch only those in which Zac is a part – he added when he was informed about the extension HSM universe and High School Musical: Musical: Series. “That’s part of the deal. But yeah, I’d be up for it, raising money.”

Both Efron and White have been busy promoting their new film Iron Claw, which premiered in theaters on Friday. Earlier this month, Efron joined his co-stars for an appearance on Today wearing an unexpected accessory: sunglasses.
Efron then apologized to host Craig Melvin for wearing eyeshadow indoors, explaining that it was due to an infection. “No, I’m sorry, man,” Efron told Melvin. “It feels strange to be in the shadows.”
“I just have a little eye infection,” he added. “But I really wanted to be here. It’s such a good movie and I wanted to come see you and tell everyone about it.”

White and Efron play brothers and wrestling superstars Kerry and Kevin Von Erich in the film. Iron Clawwhich also features Harris Dickinson and Simons as their brothers, follows the story of a talented family struck by numerous tragedies.
