Travis Kelce Reveals A Christmas Story Is His Favorite Holiday Movie: ‘It Gives Me the Feels’

Travis Kelce loves hometown classics!

This was revealed by the 34-year-old tight end of the Kansas City Chiefs A Christmas story is his favorite holiday movie – which probably comes as no surprise to many, given that it was filmed in Cleveland, where Travis was born and raised.

Travis shared his thoughts on the 1983 film on the latest episode of his podcast New heights with Jason and Travis Kelceas he and brother Jason, 36, discussed their holiday at the cinema.

“Damn, man, there are so many good ones,” Travis said. “I think, A Christmas story hits home. That’s what it feels like to me because it was shot in Cleveland.”

Taylor Swift’s boyfriend – who is from the suburb of Cleveland Heights – said the iconic film locations bring back fond memories of his childhood.

“As a kid in Tower City, I remember going down the slide, I remember going to the mall area,” he continued. “Besides, just like the scene outside reminds me of Christmas in Cleveland, a snowy Christmas. I just have that feeling.”

He went on to explain that he prefers holiday comedies to feel-good dramas. “I’m a comedy guy. I don’t like non-funny Christmas movies. So I’ll probably say or Dwarf or Four Christmases” Travis said, sharing two more favorites.

Jason interjected, noting that he’s such a big fan of Vince Vaughn that he can watch Four Christmases it is repeated.

“Dude, that’s a classic,” Travis agreed before remembering a familiar holiday favorite they’d left off the list. “Ooh, Grinch. Damned. Grinch is another good one.”

“Jim Carrey is my favorite in everything, man,” he added.

Jason shouted Christmas vacation. “God, Christmas vacation. Man, we’re forgetting all the good ones!” he said.

Travis, however, was a little less enthused about National Lampoon’s movie about a family vacation gathering gone hilariously wrong. “I love Chevy Chase, I just do Vacation in Vegas so much more,” he explained.

His brother admitted that he lost a lot of his humor as a child. “I didn’t really appreciate it when I was younger because I don’t think I got a lot of the humor. I didn’t understand it,” Jason said.

Kelce told listeners that they are fans too Home alone. “I love it, I love it. I can’t say anything bad about it. If you put it on, I’ll watch it right now,” Travis said. “But as far as my favorites go, I just like a bit more comedy.”

Bad Santa Claus — not so much comedy. Not so much,” he added jokingly. “Still, that Santa Claus is legendary.”

NFL stars have also weighed in on the eternal debate of whether or not to die Hard is actually Christmas movie. Jason felt that it was a movie to enjoy during the holidays — but it shouldn’t be considered a Christmas movie.

“What is the difference?” Travis encouraged his brother.

“I wouldn’t say it’s a Christmas movie because you can watch it any time of the year. It’s not strictly a Christmas movie to watch,” explained Jason. “die Hard it is acceptable to watch anytime. You can’t watch A Christmas story in, you know, March.”
