Jeremy Renner Admits He’s ‘Nervous’ to Be Back at Work on Mayor of Kingstown 1 Year After Snow Plow Accident

Jeremy Renner is back on set The mayor of Kingstown for the first time since his snowplow accident on New Year’s Day 2023.

On Wednesday, the actor confirmed he was back to work on the drama by posting a picture of himself looking dapper in a cold-weather coat over a striped button-down shirt accessorized with a gray and black tie.

“First day on set…nervous today,” Renner, 52, wrote on Instagram. “I hope this works out so I can ACTUALLY pull this off for our production and more importantly for the fans.”

At the same time, Paramount+ officially announced that production has begun on the upcoming third season of the series, which “follows the McLusky family, power brokers in Kingstown, Michigan, where the closing business is the only successful industry,” according to the release.

Jeremy Renner says it was ‘important’ to drive his snowplow again: ‘I’m going straight into the eye of the storm’

Just a week before his return, Renner appeared on Ellen K’s morning show on KOST 103.5 FM, where he joked that his mother Valerie “really wanted to burn this Snowcat” after his accident, but added that he “understands why” she said that.

“I said, ‘No mom, we’re not, I need that thing to get in and out of my driveway [laughs], or we’re going to get stuck there,’ Renner said. “But we have the power to change the story to shift it into something else.”

He continued: “It’s our job to change the narrative and perspective on this because otherwise we can sit and be victims and suffer and be intolerable and not have January 1st be a day to celebrate or be a bad thing, but we don’t need all those things, that are beautiful things.”
