Jeremy Renner Shares Harrowing Video of Evacuation from Lake Tahoe Home as Wildfire Approaches

Jeremy Renner shares disturbing scenes from the Davis fire as he nears his Lake Tahoe home.

The falcon’s eye star, 53, shared multiple photos and videos of the rapidly spreading wildfire on his Instagram Stories as he evacuated his home near Reno, Nev. on Sunday, September 8.

On the first slide, he wrote “evacuated” followed by multiple prayer emoticons over a photo of a thick cloud of smoke billowing over the mountains. He also added, “Reno Tahoe” along with a fire emoticon.

Another image, which Renner wrote was taken “from my driveway,” reveals more plumes of smoke and orange flames burning trees near his home. In the corner, a fire engine appears to be parked on his property.

“When the wind changes, it’s either really good or really bad,” the actor wrote above another fire scene.

He also made sure to let his followers know that he was safe and that he had successfully evacuated via a photo of Washoe County, Nev., fire crew members. and tagged Truckee Meadows firefighters in the title.

“Everyone has been evacuated and is safe. Now for mother nature,” he wrote in black text over the video.

In the last two videos, a plane can be seen dropping red fire retardant chemicals over smoky trees, followed by a dramatic clip of a fire engine driving past massive dark clouds that appear to be moving towards the road.

The state of emergency was officially declared by Nevada Governor Joe Lombardo on Sunday, September 8, according to CNN. The outlet reports that the “wind-driven fire” has already damaged 14 structures, burned 6,500 acres of land and prompted the evacuation of 14,000 people in the Washoe County area.

As of Sunday evening, the fire was 0% contained. California is also going through “14 active wildfires,” one of which started in the San Bernardino Mountains and has burned 20,552 fires so far, according to the source.
