Richard J. Sims Sr., popularly known as Rick, died suddenly and unexpectedly, shocking his family and friends. On December 13, 2023, a resident of Peabody, Massachusetts, who was only 67 years old, sadly passed away at home. Although the cause of his death is still unknown, many who knew him are saddened by his passing. Rick, a former sergeant with the Peabody Police Department, was devoted to his family as well as his community. He loved coaching and being present at his children’s sporting events and activities as he was a proud father. Richard Jr., Jessica, Jillian and his three children, along with his siblings, ex-wife and many other family members, will always carry a part of him in their hearts.

During his tenure, Rick was a dedicated sergeant at the Peabody Police Department, contributing to the safety and well-being of his neighborhood. In addition to serving the community, he was also a successful businessman who ran Sims Brothers Painting.
