Kieran Culkin has come a long way since making his big screen debut at age 8 Alone in the house was published in 1990 — and he’s still happy to talk about his humble beginnings.
Culkin Real pain Costar Jesse Eisenberg exclusively told PEOPLE at the National Board of Review Awards in New York on Jan. 7 that he definitely spoke with Culkin, 42, about his Alone in the house days.
“What Kieran likes more than anything is for people to come up to him when they meet him and talk about it Alone in the houseso I did, yes,” Eisenberg, 41, said.
Asked if he a Alone in the house “Super fan,” Eisenberg joked on the gala’s red carpet, “Well, I mean, who isn’t my age?”

Social network actor — who presented Culkin with a Best Supporting Actor award at the ceremony for his portrayal of Benji Kaplan in Real pain — he had previously revealed that he had been watching Alone in the house 17 times when he was 7 years old, according to Los Angeles Times.
IN Alone in the house and its continuation, Home Alone 2: Lost in New YorkCulkin had a minor role as Fuller McCallister, the younger cousin of the main character Kevin, played by his real-life brother Macaulay Culkin.

Kieran Culkin explains why he ‘had no idea’ what Alone in the house It was when he made a movie with his brother Macaulay
In June, the Golden Globe winner revealed during a panel at the Tribeca Film Festival that he has also watched the holiday classic multiple times.
“I’ve seen that movie so many times — I grew up watching it over and over again at Christmas, so I have the whole thing memorized,” Culkin said.
He also admitted that he “didn’t know what the movie was about.”
“I saw it at the premiere and I was dying of laughter. I said, ‘Well, I guess that makes sense. [Macaulay] was on the set a lot. I guess he’s the lead in this movie,’ Culkin recalled. “I had fun doing it, but I really didn’t know what it was about [until it came out].”
